This is the home page of Moving Picture coding by Artificial Intelligence (MPAI), an international not-for-profit organisation with the mission to promote the efficient use of Data by developing Technical Specifications of Compression Formats for any type of Data, especially using new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, and of technologies that facilitate integration of data compression components in ICT systems.

A key part of MPAI’s mission is to bridge the gap between Technical Specifications and their practical use through the development of IPR Guidelines, such as Framework Licences and other instruments.

Data includes, but is not restricted to, media, manufacturing, automotive, health and generic data.
